Spelling tests will be going home Monday. They were very good! I am so proud of all of the students and their hard work they have been putting into studying for this tests. I can't wait to see how well they do this week! List #3 was sent home on Friday, as well as some fun activity suggestions on how to learn sight words.
Social Studies tests will also be sent home Monday. They all did a fabulous job learning about rules, community helpers, and leaders. We will begin our first unit in our brand new Science curriculum. They have been dying to get their hands on their very own books and tomorrow they will have the chance. I will be sending home an online code for home access soon.
In Math, we will continue learning about number sense by working on our Number of the Day book. We have been learning new games that reinforce the skills we are working on and will start our math center rotations soon.
Mrs. Scott will begin coming in tomorrow to start reading groups. We are still practicing centers and what we should be doing during the time we are not meeting with a teacher. Be on the look out for a red book pouch. These will start coming home almost every night. Please help your child by listening to him/her read this book!
We are quite the writers! Wait until you get to read some of the great stories they have been working on. If your child comes home with one of our class books, please read it with them and send back the next day so we can draw a name for somebody else to take it home. This is a very exciting part of our day!
