As a way to wrap up our writing review unit, we chose our favorite book review and got to read them to Mrs. Robb's 2nd grade class. They were a wonderful audience!

Our Door
Our school decided to decorate our classroom door in honor of Read Across America Day. We talked about what Dr. Seuss meant when he said "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" I love how our door turned out and so did the kids! We took a walking field trip around our school today to check out all the other doors!
Read Across America
We celebrated Read Across America Day with lots of fun Dr. Seuss activities. One of our favorite part of our day was extra reading time!! Here we are enjoying reading books with our friends!
We also got to visit each of the other 4 first grade teachers rooms to listen to them read a Dr. Seuss story. When they got back to our room we completed a bar graph to see what our favorite book was. It was a close vote but Horton Hatches an Egg was the winner!
